Children’s illustrations portfolio
‘People often ask artists when did you start drawing or why do you love it. I still get the same feeling of freedom and creating whatever kind of magic I want when I draw as an adult as I did as a child- I just never stopped! It’s freeing and I can create magic, capture emotion or reflect a brand in a way that only drawing or painting can.’
One of Sarah’s main passions is illustrating for children’s books and children’s products. There is something so magical and innocent about childhood and one of a child’s first language is the way they view the world in imagery and pictures. Sarah’s soft and warm, yet playful style of illustration is appealing to children and lends itself to children's products.
Sarah illustrated (and wrote) her first children’s picture story book ‘when the smiles went missing’ in 2020 based on the world pandemic and people wearing masks.
Her first book was a crazy success and this inspired her to continue illustrating.
She has since illustrated two more children’s books about grief ‘My Sibling Above’ and ‘Love From Above’ which are written by Mikhailla Fitzgerald.
